GETTINg HERE
The fastest and cheapest way of getting to Cromarty is flying to Inverness airport. The airport is about ~30 miles from Cromarty, so it's a ~45 minutes drive.
It's a fairly well serviced airport, with a number of the budget airlines flying to it from Shetland, Birmingham, Manchester and London.
Check out skyscanner.net for options.
GETTING AROUND
The easiest thing to do, is to hire a car when you're here. The airport has lots of options including all the usual suspects; Avis, Europcar, Budget and Enterprise.
Check out rentalcars.com for a full list of options.
Alternatively, please get in touch with us if you would like to organise a lift out to the party instead. We'll be putting on a minibus back into Inverness in the evening, so hopefully that's one less thing to think about.
WHERE TO STAY?
We appreciate that you are coming and hope you will be able to find accommodation which suits your budget - if you need any advice please don't hesitate to get in touch.
It is probably worth trying to get this sorted as, without getting into Brexit and the value of sterling, the Highlands are becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination.
cromarty
It is a small town and there are various options there to suit different budgets. We have been referred to the Cromarty Live website, which has local B&Bs in the area and also a few hotels – some of which are more upmarket than others. The venue itself is run by Cromarty Arts Trust who actually do have budget accommodation, which includes at least one large hostel type property, so their website is worth checking out too.
FORTROSE & INVERNESS
Beyond Cromarty the obvious places to look are Fortrose (10 miles) and Inverness itself.
